The simple, grey bungalow isnít remarkable to look at and itís never had a famous resident.
But it seems this old house near the corner of 9th Street and 5th Avenue S.W. may have secured a minor place in local history as the last single-residential property in the downtown commercial core.
It may be difficult to imagine today, but much of the downtown area thatís now studded with glass towers once included streets lined with one and two-storey homes.
The cityís latest property assessment data reveals thereís only one single-residential property left in the downtown commercial core. After searching the area, this house appears to be the one.
