The development noted above fell through due to the economic downturn and the buildings on 10th Avenue and 7th Street SW, including the Warehouse and Underground night clubs were sold. The new owners began to improve the buildings, including exposing the original brick of the building on the corner. Noted in this other posting from November 2009: http://www.calgaryheritage.org/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=1840#1840

In early 2010, the Warehouse and Underground closed after 26 years due to problems with liquor licensing. Very unfortunate for the owner and patrons. However, the buildings are remaining and may be revitalized in some other format. Here is some news from late January 2010:

The old Warehouse nightclub space has found new life as the Commonwealth. www.commonwealthbar.ca
