Another successful Heritage Roundtable! And another opportunity to thank and congratulate Calgary's heritage community. I think you are more organized, sophisticated and energized than ever before. I continually see new faces and meet new people at these events. It is particularly motivating to me to see an increasing number of young faces in the crowd.
I would love to see some comments here. I am curious why so many people turned out last night - was it the venue? the topic? the mild weather?

That we are very keen on the preservation of Calgary’s heritage sites goes without saying (this is the Community Heritage blog, after all). We have a deep admiration for people who work on behalf of these goals, groups like Calgary Heritage Initiative, the Heritage Planning Department at the City, the historical societies, and the legions of volunteers who work tirelessly inventorying, advocating, lobbying, writing, touring, to get heritage resources recognized and protected.
