Regarding the Riverside Bungalow:
I created a small movie showing a potential re-adaptation of the Riverside Bungalow for an UBST (451) course at the UofC. My group was tasked to develop a 'Area Revitalization Plan' for Bridgeland-Riverside, and after discussion with their community association, I learned that there were two issues that could be addressed at the same time. The first was the sale of the Bungalow (and community association wants to save it), and a lack of sports/recreation centre in the community.

With the available land adjacent to the Bungalow, I thought why not turn the land (which has a couple soccer pitches, a parking lot, and a tot lot) into an indoor rec. centre? The Bungalow then can serve as the entrance and common area for users of the facility, complete with lockers, showers, washrooms, concession stands, etc.

Is it that Riverside School that was one of three Calgary schools designated as a junior high? By no means, it shouldn't be demolished. I hope it has faced better destiny than it happened in 1966 during cell phone spy the fire.
