House burns down in Victoria Park...

Some may remember a month or so back when one of the abandoned homes in Victoria Park burned down, I was able to make it down there and take some photos as the firefighters fought the blaze... I arrived as they were just finishing up...

It's unfortunate as I recall that being one of the more impressive houses in Vic park of the ones that weren't earmarked for demolition due to stampede expansion, although I had noticed it was boarded up so wondered how long it would stay standing..

I've only known the area for just over a year now, so don't know how long that one had been boarded up for...

My understanding (from talking to some locals there) is that the area north of 12th Ave is slated for demolition in the next few years, but not immediately... And I would say that over half the occupied houses there are in very poor condition
