Also refer to the article in the Calgary Herald:

With these two latest acquisitions Allied holds more properties in Calgary than any other city, with the exception of Toronto.

Another purchase for Allied REIT, the "Broken City" building (1971), and another 1980 building a bit further west. Allied now owns all the buildings east of Broken City to the corner, including the 1915 "Keg" building.*

*Update - in 2013 Allied acquired the building between Broken City and its other mid-block acquisition. Allied now owns most of the block-face (south side of 600 block of 11th Avenue SW), except for the "Heaven's Fitness" building on the west corner.

Another purchase by Allied REIT, the Vintage I and II buildings on 11th Avenue SW at 2nd Street. The first four floors of the east tower were built as the Metals Building in 1924, and later was Cristy's Arcade furniture. Several additional floors were added in 1999 and a second similar tower built. Seems weird but adding onto old buildings is a practice in the warehouse district going back to its origins (for example, the "Lewis Lofts" building was built in three chunks as the pre-WW1 boom grew...)

This is a really interesting site. Despite Patrick Burn’s legacy to Calgary, there is remarkably little left in our built heritage. This latest acquisition is a rare piece of his legacy. Here's a link from the city's heritage inventory - it shows the building in Alyth-Bonnybrook, but that community, Ramsay and Inglewood were all "East Calgary" in 1905.

Allied REIT picks up the Pilkington Building and the Biscuit Block in Victoria Park warehouse district. Just the latest of many acquisitions in the last few years.
