Join the House Party of the Century!

Is your house 100 years old (or thereabouts) — built in 1915 or earlier? If so, it’s time to celebrate your home’s place in Calgary’s history — and your role in ensuring its future.

Century Homes Calgary is a citywide celebration commemorating homes constructed during Calgary’s first building boom. Owners and residents are invited to share details and stories about their house, particularly during Historic Calgary Week 2012 — Friday, July 27, through Monday, Aug 6.

Century Homes Calgary and its partner groups offers research advice and support, celebration ideas and kits to help you celebrate your century home! Go to www.centuryhomes.org to learn more!

For heritage homeowners in the Ramsay area....

Interested in learning more about the history of your home?

Come and join Ramsay Heritage, Sunday, April 15th, 2012 as we open and offer local residents free information collected from the City of Calgary, about their home/ building.

You may find...the year it was built, architect, chart of materials used and the previous owners. These may be souced from the Provinvial Historical Resources Inventory, Site Inspections, Calgary Assessment Cards, and the Henderson Directories.

The files will be open to photocopy from 2:00-4:00 pm, at the Ramsay Community Hall. This is in preperation, (although not limited to) for residents who may be interested in the "Century Homes Calgary" 2012 event. http://www.centuryhomes.org/
