Editorials in the aftermath of the implosion

Leong: City history vanishes one chunk at at time
By Ricky Leong,Calgary Sun

It only took a series of blasts to erase a landmark from our skyline. Limited fanfare preceded the destruction of an old grain elevator in Ogden, which was blown to smithereens in mere seconds Sunday morning...

The demolished Federal Elevator is the subject of a great book authored by Scott Jolliffe, chair of the Calgary Heritage Authority. The book is published by the CHA and the City of Calgary. More information at this link: http://www.calgaryheritage.org/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=3658#3658
