The following communities have been ‘surveyed’ as part of a research program supported by the Alberta Historical Resources Foundation. (Source: Rick Green, Province of Alberta, 2006.)

Building surveys include a photo, address and legal description, architectural information, date of construction, and sometimes information about use, occupancy and ownership.

Originals are held in Edmonton by the Alberta Historical Resources Foundation. Local copies are typically held by the sponsoring group, but some have been donated to the Calgary Public Library or the Glenbow Archives. The province is gradually adding the information online.
