DOORS OPEN @ King Edward

From school to creative hub: An interactive 3-day event celebrating People, Place and Ideas.

Please save the date for a unique open house at the historic King Edward School from September 28 - 30, 2012.

This 3-day interactive event will celebrate both the legacy and future of this sandstone building as a platform for connecting people, place and ideas. Our collaborators for the weekend include Doors Open YYC, PechaKucha Night Calgary and We Should Know Each Other, with programming that includes an exhibition from our photography competition and family-friendly opportunities to suit diverse interests.

With a mission to connect people, place and ideas to ignite creativity, community, collaboration and change, cSPACE is excited to invite the community inside the 100-year-old King Edward School before the redevelopment process begins.

Please note that all entrances of the school require stair access at this time.

The City of Calgary is considering amendments to the South Calgary/ Altadore Area Redevelopment Plan (ARP) in response to a land use redesignation (rezoning) application to redesignate the former King Edward School site. For more information and an opportunity to provide comments regarding the above, please come to the open house or go to:
