Jane’s Talk: Exploring Jane Jacobs’ Legacy

Calgary’s neighbourhoods are diverse and changing. How are people influencing our communities to make them more vibrant? Spend the afternoon with a panel of active residents and engaged professionals including inner city alderman and urban designer Gian-Carlo Carra, David Low from the Victoria Park Business Revitalization Zone, Brentwood community activist and "Civic Camper" Cheri McCauley, and Jaydel Gluckie from the McKenzie Towne, our original "new urbanist" experiment . Learn about Jane’s Walk, an annual celebration of neighbourhood places and stories, inspired by influential writer and urbanist, Jane Jacobs.

Time and Place:
Sunday March 20, 2 - 4:00 pm,
Central Downtown Library, John Dutton Theatre - second floor.
Registration not required, but RSVP is encouraged at www.calgarycommunities.com/events.php - look for "Special Event - Jane's Talk" in the drop-down menu.

FREE event.
