Time: 7:00pm-9:00pm (doors open to the public at 6:30pm)
Venue: The Lougheed House, 707 13th Avenue SW

Panelist Information:

Janet Jones: Horticulturalist, will discuss how the City of Calgary gardeners continue to build on the groundwork that was laid out during the rehabilitation of the Reader Rock Garden, creating a place for all Calgarians to enjoy one of our City's finest Arts and Crafts period gardens

Steve Ramsey: Facilities and Maintenance Manager for Heritage Park, will give a general overview of heritage preservation and maintenance at Heritage Park, while discussing the restoration/repair of the 1885 Morrisey, Fernie & Michel passenger cars

Ken Armstrong: Mason and Stonecarver with Gracom Construction, will discuss traditional vs. modern stone carving practices. As well as the economics of modern stone restoration and the value of preserving historical resources within the city of Calgary

Also, Blane Hogue, Executive Director of the Lougheed House, will speak on the need for heritage tradespersons when doing restoration/maintenance on historical sites like the Lougheed House.
