Project Brewery invites you to the Opening Night Party of Calgary Architecture and Design Week at the Blues Can in Inglewood on Wednesday Nov. 10, 97 - 9 pm
“Denise Herdman and friends” performs Rhythm and Blues in support of the Calgary Brewery. Denise is a Canadian Studies student at the University of Calgary who is working on a project related to the historic Calgary Brewing and Malting Co. Site. There will be a presentation by Denise and an update from Project Brewery, followed by the music. Admission is free, but donations are welcome to help fund a history publication and efforts related to the brewery cause. Drinks and menu items are available. The Blues Can is a new club in the former Ironwood site - look for the quonset hut at 1429 9 Ave SE.[/b]

Remembrance Day at historic Central Memorial Park
Central Memorial Park has been undergoing major renovations including the addition of a new restaurant called “Boxwood”. They serve local seasonable and sustainable food. You are invited to see what is new in the park and join in on the annual Remembrance Day services being run in front of the cenotaph.

So-you-think-you-can-dress? Retract the claws and enjoy. You are invited to an exclusive celebration of individual style. If you want to audition to “catwalk”, come early and bring a few of your favourite outfits to showcase. For a week before the show, you are challenged to move outside the box on a scavenger hunt that raises awareness of local fashion designers. Details on facebook.
