Beaulieu once sat nearly alone on the prairie, but now it sits in the centre of the vibrant and urban Connaught-Beltline district. The Lougheeds saw Calgary grow up around their house in the early 20th century - when it became a fashionable residential area for Calgary's business elite - and now the area is being transformed once again. Join members of the Calgary Heritage Initiative for a tour that puts the house in its neighbourhood context, with visits to such places as renewed Central Memorial Park, the Nellie McClung home, the Ranchman’s Club and much more. Along the way you’ll hear about some names in Calgary’s past, compare today's vistas with historic photographs, and learn about the past and future of one of Calgary's most interesting areas.
