The next Community Heritage Roundtable in the popular series is a panel discussion of about heritage advocacy, tools and tactics.
Join us for a lively interactive session with an entertaining group of panelists with war stories to tell! Our panel includes:
Trudy Cowan - a long-time heritage advocate, she is best known as the force behind the saving of the Lougheed House among many other accomplishments
Cheri McCauley - one of the leading advocates from Civic Camp, a new and exciting movement promoting sustainable urbanism in Calgary
Neil Richardson - from Heritage Property Corporation, Neil has defied the odds and helped save many Calgary buildings that might have been lost, including the Lougheed-Grand
Peter Rishaug - from the Sunalta Community Association, Peter has been working to incorporate heritage into the City's new Sunalta Area Plan.
Bob van Wegen - VP of the Calgary Heritage Initiative, and one of the leaders of the current effort to save the Calgary Brewery, he is also the planner for the Federation of Calgary Communities.
A good topic for a civic election year! As always, there will be refreshments (courtesy of CHI) and lots of networking.
