Heritage Matters: Concrete Centenarian - April 3

Join Calgary Heritage Authority Chair Scott Jolliffe for the launch of his entertaining and passionate account of the Ogden Grain Elevator, one of Calgary’s iconic structures, also affectionately known as “The Government” and the attempt to preserve its memory.

The book Concrete Centenarian: The Life and Death of Calgary’s Canadian Government Elevator will be for sale at the event and the author will be signing copies. Payment is by cash or cheque only, $30 (includes GST). Refreshments will be served.

It was a great book launch on April 3 with over 75 people in attendance.

Concrete Centenarian is available in Calgary at the Glenbow Museum shop, Shelf Life Books, Owl's Nest Books and Pages. It is also available directly from the Calgary Heritage Authority for $30. For the CHA, email elevatorbookinfo@gmail.com
