Planning With Heritage in Mind.

This is a free elective course in the "Partners In Planning" program put on by the City of Calgary and the Federation of Calgary Communities to educate community members about planning issues.

The Municipal Development Plan and the Calgary Heritage Strategy present a new vision where the City works with a range of stakeholders including communities to build a culture of preservation. Join heritage staff to learn how the City works with stakeholders to preserve historic resources and implement the strategy. Includes an introduction to the preservation principles of “identification, protection and management”, illustrated with local case studies.

Date: Saturday, March 17, 2012.
Time: 9:00am to 12:00pm (sign-in starts at 8:30 am).
Location: Bankview Community Association, 2418 - 17 Street SW. Street parking only, so plan accordingly.

Coffee and refreshments provided.
