Community Heritage Roundtable - November 24 / New Uses for Old Places: Adaptive Reuse

The popular heritage roundtable continues with speakers on the subject of “adaptive re-use” – conserving old buildings by giving them new uses. An extremely important and interesting topic for heritage conservationists and communities alike. There will be refreshments and lots of time for mingling and networking. FREE. At Temple B'Nai Tikvah, 900 47th Avenue SW. Doors open at 6:30, event 7 – 9.

• Howard Bell, a member of the renovation team that converted a church into Temple B’Nai Tikvah
• John Kerr and Philip Dack on plans for the historic National Hotel and livery barn in Inglewood
• Shara Rosko, Director of the John Snow House, which has been converted to a resource centre by the New Gallery.
• Reid Henry, President & CEO of cSpace Projects, on the plans to turn the sandstone King Edward School into an “Arts Incubator”
