Hops and Heritage: The archaeology of Calgary Beer
On June 8, the anniversary of the provincial order that stayed the demolition of the original Calgary brewery, join archaeologist Brian Vivian and fellow beer aficionados for pint and a presentation on the how unearthed beer bottles and beer caps are important clues to the economic and social development of Western Canada. Hear about the cache of rare beer bottles recently found near the brewery, and other evidence of the influence of AE Cross's Calgary Brewing and Malting Co. We are meeting at a Club Paradiso, so there will be a cash bar. Come thirsty.
