Grace Presbyterian is one of Calgary's oldest, most beautiful sandstone churches.

Standing strong and welcoming at the corner of 15th Avenue and 9th Street S.W., on a lot purchased from the Hudson's Bay Co. for $12,000, Grace has faithfully served as a house of worship for many of our city's most prominent citizens, such as the Gunn, Bell, Snowden, Rozsa and Mannix families.

As the 100th anniversary of the founding of Grace approached, the congregation began making elaborate plans to mark the historic occasion. Church elder Bob Ermter says that beginning in 2002, brainstorming sessions were held, creative ideas emerged and committees were struck...
