It would seem that these names were still in use in 1944. I have in my hands a copy of the Municipal Manual Presenting Interesting Information and Authoritative Statistics - Calgary, Alberta, 1944.
Among many interesting items, there is a 4 page section entitled "Location of Named Streets and Avenues in Calgary". It would appear to have been current rather than past names as it doesn't include streets such as Atlantic, Pacific, McTavish, etc. Although, interestingly, Scarth is mentioned and given as "18th Ave. and 1st St. S.W., near station."
Anyway, for the two particular streets mentioned earlier, it gives these entries:
Lincoln Avenue - Centre St. North and West on 7th Avenue N.W.
Somerville Avenue - Centre-A St. on 6th Ave. N.W.
There are approximately 180 streets listed here (most of which no longer exist) so if you're interested in any particular street, let me know. I may type all of this up one day soon anyway.
