The Herald recently re-printed an 1883 editorial about the early days of Midnapore. Best known today as a suburb south of Fish Creek, it was settled about the same time as Calgary and had a long history as its own town. Editorial below.

I think the land is owned by the CBE (Calgary Board of Education). Those vehicles are theirs, and all the equipment laying around is old, or new, play ground equipment. Assuming the school is being used as storage.

By the way, here is the building (light red circle) in a 1948 aerial photograph of the Midnapore townsite. The two churches and cemetery are highlighted in light blue.

My guess was that it was the largish dark roof'd building just west of the school.

Here is the building (and ticket booth) in Heritage Park, so yes I believe the rooflines match
