Im looking for any information, and pictures of the plaza theater located 1133 Kensington Road NW.
All I know is that it was built in the 1920's as an auto garage, and later converted into a theater. If anyone has any pictures of this building back when it was a auto garage (1920-1936?) that would be great. Any other informationg regarding the plaza is also greatly appriciated.

thanks

I see that the Glenbow is completely unhelpful as far as old photos, pretty surprising.

What you might want to do, is contact the city of Calgary heritage planning dept, as they would have files on the building

I've been thinking of doing an article on Calgary's old theatres.

The Hillhurst-Sunnyside community association recently did a heritage walking tour pamphlet. They may have what you need. Recommend you contact them.

I bought a house that I have been told was built in 1904 the address is 55 New St S.E in Inglewood.
Just wondering if anyone has any info on Inglewood or is from here and could direct me to the right sources.
Thank you for your time.

Hi, this question is posted in the wrong thread, but regardless, below is a link to a Calgary document which should be helpful: How to research a building's history. You should also contact the heritage committee of the Inglewood Community Association, they likely have some information. Good luck with your place on New Street.
