Remember how old you felt when ’80s nights became all the rage at dance clubs? Well, now two buildings from the decade of Grandmaster Flash and Mayor Ralph Klein are considered heritage properties.

The city couldn’t have picked two more iconic 1980s buildings to add youth to the historic resources inventory: the Saddledome (1983) and Olympic Oval (1987). Until these 2011 additions to the last, its junior member was the 1977 Ukrainian Orthodox church that peers out over Crescent Heights.

The dome and oval are among 66 newly listed civic historic resources. Others include:
